Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Jobs 2022 Apply Online The Punjab Education Foundation is an autonomous statutory body of the Government of Punjab, working under the benevolent guidance of its 15-member Board of Trustees (BOD), headed by a Chairman selected from private members.
The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) was established in 1991 through an Act of the Punjab Provincial Assembly. In 2004, PEF was restructured and Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik, a UNESCO Confucius Laureate, was appointed as its first MD/CEO (2005-2008).
The foundation has adopted many innovative interventions to promote affordable quality school education for the less privileged and disadvantaged sections of society and has introduced new cost-effective, economical and accessible models through public-private partnerships. These initiatives are now widely appreciated and recognized both nationally and internationally. PEF provides monthly financial assistance to partner schools based on child enrollment at the rate of Rs.550/- for primary level, Rs. 600/- for entry level, Rs. 900/- for Intermediate (Arts), Rs.1100/- for Intermediate (Science), Rs. 1200/- for Higher Secondary (Arts) and Rs. 1500/- for Higher Secondary (Science).
